OFCDesk IDC
Features

OFCDesk IDC does more than just making a process faster, less expensive, and more efficient. It creates a standardized and highly evolved professional CAD environment for handling interior designs.

Inserting Blocks by Category
With OFCDesk IDC you can create multi-level categories for your blocks, be it just a couple of hundreds or many thousands blocks representing different products: all information is stored in a SQL database embedded in OFCDesk IDC. It will display your entire CAD library in a hierarchical searchable tree style.

Inserting Directly from your Database
OFCDesk IDC has a unique interface that gives you direct access to your CAD library database, so when you become familiar with names and part-numbers you just type them in the prompt and OFCDesk IDC will bring the proper block up at you cursor. There is no way to make it easier.

Creating Wall Panels and Panel Partitions
OFCDesk IDC has an exclusive way of building wall panels and panel partitions. It’s fast and reliable. With just one command you are able to interact with all the product features dynamically. End caps, top caps, connectors, doors and everything else are handled automatically, following user customizable rules to keep everything consistent. OFCDesk IDC’s smart technology prevents user errors. Examples:
a) if you erase a Panel, the remaining Panels are notified and each one will self-check to ensure consistency; b) You can create wall panels elevations to better explain its components in your project.

Editing Wall Panels and Panel Partitions
The majority of custom programs and routines is focused on creating complex objects; however, we know that more than 70% of the time is spent on editing them. OFCDesk IDC is different. At any time you can change height, sub-components, composition, and apply standard AutoCAD editing command such as move or rotate without any loss in the product consistency. It’s fast to create and it’s even faster to edit.

Applying Finishes
OFCDesk IDC comes fully equipped with tools to handle interior design products finishes. You can apply fabrics, textures, colors and all sorts of finishes to inserted products to complete your specification. OFCDesk IDC provides means of working with hierarchical finishes and, if you choose leather for an office chair finishing, for example, OFCDesk IDC’s interface will only list the available leather colors, as much as when you select a workstation, the interface will list the finishes that apply. It’s conveniently organized because different products with different structured finishes can be edited and managed easily from the database information.

Attaching Product families
OFCDesk IDC makes it easy for you to attach one product to another, establishing a link between them. By using this feature you can link a storage cabinet with its shelves, keeping their own part-number and finishes. The same way, you can create a complex group of products and label it “Manager Workstation”, reusing it repeatedly your layouts. Later on, during the creation of a bill of materials, you may list all “Manager Workstations” or all its sub-components. These product families behave as a single entity.

Replacing Products
OFCDesk IDC allows you to replace products effortlessly. Just type both part-numbers and OFCDesk IDC will find one and replaced with another.

3D
OFCDesk IDC generates all parametric products in 3D, depending on your need. OFCDesk IDC is truly 3D-ready.

Native DWG
Both OFCDesk IDC and AutoCAD use the same architecture and technology to create the same native DWG without the risk of corrupt your drawings.

Autodesk behind
OFCDesk IDC was built over a well-known and worldwide acknowledged standard CAD tool produced by Autodesk®, AutoCAD®.

Implementing Raised Floors
One of the most complete functionalities of OFCDesk IDC is the implementation of raised floors, with comprehensive control over the creation and edition of all constituent elements. You can easily configure the area layout and adjust the exclusion zones, bases, pedestals and panels to fit your project. OFCDesk IDC automatically calculates everything with few clicks and renders it in a few seconds. At the end, you’ll have a neatly composed report quantifying all parts, from screws and cables to panels and pedestals needed. The implementation of raised floors is now a simple task, for architects and contractors alike.

Creating and Editing Movable Storage
OFCDesk IDC allows you to create and edit all kinds of movable storages in a one-two-three operation. Create the movable storage exactly the way you need, with specific and customized properties, lines and dimensions. Easily add special carriages, aisles, and accessories to the faces of your movable storages. Every step of the creation process is made quick and simple. Even after your movable storage is ready, you can just as easily edit any property, component or accessory. OFCDesk IDC also allows you to add products to the carriages, with intuitive settings through a user-friendly interface.

Implementing Auditoriums
The task of creating auditoriums or, say, a three-rowed lecture room has been taken to utmost easiness. All you have to do is determine the properties of the auditorium, such as the seat line, the space between seats, and the alignment, accessorize it as you wish, through convenient drop down lists and, perhaps the most complex task: clicking the Create button. There you are. OFCDesk IDC renders the entire auditorium automatically. If you want to, you can edit a single seat amidst 5 thousand of them. Change its color. That’ll give you a sense you did it all.

Creating OFCDesk Products
Any AutoCAD® drawing can be turned into an OFCDesk IDC entity. All it takes is the insertion of new part number and description. The advantage of having OFCDesk products is that it enables you to use OFCDesk IDC’s value-added functionalities to handle the entities in your project. It’s possible to go the other way around and turn OFCDesk IDC entities into AutoCAD® blocks.

Mirroring Entities
OFCDesk IDC automatically replaces the part numbers of the entities in your project when you flip or mirror them. Left-piece products are automatically replaced by the corresponding right-piece product and respective part number. All to ensure your project consistency.

Managing Complementary Products
OFCDesk IDC allows you to create a list of complementary products and conveniently manage it through the friendly interface.

Creating Product Accessories
All products can be filed as accessories of other products. This guarantees total flexibility both in manipulating products and in freely creating composed products, workstations, and special products.

Bill of Materials (BOM)
At any time you can list the materials in your project. OFCDesk IDC organizes the bill of materials with all the products or only the selected products in your project according to a combination of criteria: part number, group or finish. This list can be exported to your quotation software or can be printed directly from inside OFCDesk IDC.

Compare Bills of Materials
Now you can be aware of the elements of different projects’ bills of materials, or even the same project in different moments. Effectively compare existing project’s bills of materials with new projects to get the most appropriate result.

Converting DXReader Objects
DXReader entities can be automatically converted into OFCDesk IDC objects. This makes it easier for you to view its properties, edit the entities, apply finishes, add accessories, etc.
